Cerebral palsyAccording to the statistics of the MoH of Ukraine, about 100 thousand children have been registered with disability related to the pathology of the nervous system. Cerebral palsy (CP) is one of the most frequent causes of childhood disability: the prevalence rate in Europe ranges from 2 to 3 patients per 1000 live newborns, in Ukraine – 2.56 patients correspondingly. Among extremely premature babies, the number of cases of cerebral palsy has risen to 40-100 per 1000 live newborns. Read more
