Chronic leukemiaAccording to the National Cancer Registry of Ukraine, the statistics of leukemia in Ukraine (2014) show: Prevalence: 17,779 patients, rate – 49 patients per 100 thousand population (males – 54.2; females – 44.6). Incidence: 3067 new cases; rate (age-standardized, world standard) – 6.3 new cases per 100 thousand population (males – 8.0; females – 5.1). Mortality rate (age-standardized, world standard) – 3.2 deaths per 100 thousand population (males – 4.0; females – 2.7). Incidence (children population): 303 new cases; rate – 4.5 new cases per 100 thousand children population (males – 5.3; females – 3.8).
